The overall aim
of this project was to assist the GOI in the preparation of the
Regional Water Supply Sector Project as a first phase of a
comprehensive program aimed at improving the overall technical,
commercial and financial performance of the water utilities.
Tasman’s focus
in this project was on improving the management of local water
companies (PDAMs) to increase their capacity to self finance or
attract external finance for infrastructure development. The
improvement of financing systems is seen as a key to expanded
water supply connections. |
